Name: Verna
Gender: Female
Pokemon Species: Roserade
Type: Grass/Poison
Mates?: None
Description: Has the same general appearance of every other Roserade. Her skin is slightly lighter (both the dark and lighter greens), her eyes have small lashes on them. There is a small piece of a Grass Plate hanging on the yellow ring around her neck. Because of the area she lived in, she speaks fluent French and has an accent to boot. When in battle she is prone to acts of acrobatics, such as flips, twirls and spins. She holds her "bouquets" up to her face to hide half of it when she is smiling, laughing, or just wanting to act coy.
Personality: She is polite and courteous. She rarely ever raises her voice to others and stays calm in heated situations. She is very neat and tidy and hates to come to areas where it is unkempt and dirty. Despite her seemingly formal appearance and behavior, she is a deceitful Pokemon with nothing in mind but her next meal and what she can get her vines on. She enjoys tricking Pokemon into willingly giving her what she wants, most of the time this includes jewelry, tea, and pastries that she has no access to. Though she is a deceitful Roserade, she never goes back on her words and will stick by those she considers as friends.
Likes: Dancing, MooMoo milk-tea, croissants with Pechaberry filling, walking about in gardens, playing coy with male Pokemon for fun, jewelry; specifically pearls.
Dislikes: Dirty places, dirt in general, unkempt Pokemon/people, bad food, people who slur their words or do not speak properly/ clearly, cowards.
Positives: A good dancer in and out of battle gives her a look of grace wherever she is.
Negatives: Deceitful nature wards away potential friends.
History: Being born in a small town, Verna didn't have that many people to talk to other than her older sisters. While they were off playing in the mud as Budews, she stayed with her Grandmother and learned the ways of the old days. She learned to speak both French and English, dance like a 'true' Roserade, and be a proper young lady. Of course, her siblings thought she was silly and tried to get her to play with them in the mud. Verna just stuck up her nose and politely refused them.
Later on, when she had become a Roselia, Verna left her family and went to live in the garden near a cafe. There, she developed her love for MooMoo milk tea and fresh morning croissants. She also began to like the jewelery some of the women wore, and often fantasied about wearing a pearl necklace like them and going to balls to dance the night away. So then she would sit about looking pretty for the costumers in hopes of getting either a sip of tea or a bite to eat, naturally, this worked for the Roselia.
A few years later, while tricking a wealthy man to part from half of his croissant, she acquired a Sun Stone, which caused her to evolve. Seeing that she was now fully evolved and had a good enough grasp on her skills, she left the village in search of something more. She now travels alone, staying from town to town exploring and sightseeing.
Status (captured or wild?): Wild
Strengths: Very fast with high special attack
Weaknesses: Not a lot of HP, making it easy for her to faint from too much damage, low defense.
RP Sample (At least 50-100 words):
It was early morning when a small Pokemon came walking out of a nearby forest, its bright blue and red roses gleaming with dew. Its steps were light and made hardly a sound in the silence of the early hours. It was a Roserade, easily distinguishable by the white petals growing on her head. Her bright red eyes kept forward as she made her way down the winding path and into a small town where she hopped to get a bite to eat.
"What a tacky little town..," she said to herself, her red roses hiding half her face, "..but it will have to do."
She continued on her way, letting the inviting smell of freshly baked bread lead her deep into the town.
